
The Vernaccia di San Gimignano has a very important role in the viticultural panorama of the Toscana region, which derives from a long ancient tradition (dating back to the middle of the XIII century) and from the effective quality of the product. The eccellence of this wine produced in an incredible landscape has resulted in the fact that the Vernaccia be the first Tuscan white wine to use the DOCG title in 1993.
The Vernaccia di San Gimignano is served with sea food products such as molluscs, crustaceans, and salmon au braise, it is also served with typical Tuscan dishes such as panzanella, marzolino and acquacotta. It is served in tulip-shaped chalices at a temperature of 10-12°C.
