Vermentino di Gallura Docg
The Vermentino di Gallura Docg is produced from grapes of the vineyard bearing the same name. The north part of Sardegna was were this wine arrived in the last century from Spain, and it is here that the Vermentino vineyard prospers, thanks to the granite land and to such a favourable micro- climate. In 1975 it became a DOC, and in 1996 a DOCG, although it is produced in limited quantities, the producers are now doing their best to promote the Vermentino di Gallura Docg even on the international market.
Consumption
The Vermentino di Gallura is served with fish, fish sauce, crustaceans, delicate white meat, Pecorino Sardo, Fiore Sardo, stuffed beans. It is served in chalices for white wines at a temperature of 12°C if served with cold plates, 14°C if served with warm plates.

The labelling of Vermentino di Gallura Docg
Each label must carry a mention of the Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin besides all the other indications foreseen by law, such as: The determined Region from which the product originates; Denomination of the product composed of the combination of the variety of vine from which the wine originates and the geographic area in which that variety is cultivated; Nominal volume of the wine; Name or company name of the bottler and its registered address; Number and code of the bottler, which may also appear on the closing system (cork or cap); Name of the Country; Indication of the batch; Ecological indications.

- The Vermentino di Gallura Docg is pale yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The scent is delicate and intense, the taste is alcoholic, soft with a slight sour aftertaste. The minimum alcoholic gradation is 12°C

Antonio di Gallura, S. Teresa di Gallura, Telti, Tempio Pausania, Trinità d'Agulto, Viddalba in the province of di Sassari and the entire area of Budoni and S. Teodoro in the province of Nuoro
