Lametia Dop

The term 'Lametia' is the modern denomination of the ancient geographical area known as 'Laconia' which was part of the Magna Grecia. The land is very interesting for its historic and environmental importance: both the littoral ones for the tourism activities and the hills, the inhabitants of which call it Lamezia Terme. The cultivation of olives in this area has developed greatly as from the 60s, with the introduction of modern techniques and represents today one of the first sectors of the local economy.
