Docg (denomination for controlled and guaranteed origin) is a label which is given to Doc wines with "particular prized qualities" and which are quite famous both in Italy and in the rest of the world. These wines undergo very severe controls and must be commercialised in bottles smaller than 5 litres and which must have a State label which guarantees their origin and quality and which allows to number the bottles.
